Not great news from the POS7 show at the weekend. The title fight between Aaron Hain (FFG) and Gordon Smith was cancelled due to Aaron not making the title fight weight limit. Hopefully this can be a fight that can be rescheduled for some time in the future. Savas Cecen (FFG) was also in action, unfortunately Savas got KO'd near the end of R1. He was caught with a kick smack bang on the neck. Savas couldn't make the count, resulting in a win for his opponent. Savas stepped in last minute, gave away weight, AND a hell of alot of experience. Savas's opponent has had countless more fights, has also represented Scotland at the Amatuer World Championships in Bangkok, and has had numerous Full Rules fights, where-as Savas is still fighting B-Class, and has only had 6 or so fights.
Savas is OK, was even in work the next day LOL I am sure he will be back ASAP :-)

Please remember that the POS7 show is on this Saturday. Please see James if you want tickets. They are only £20. Support the Gym, and it's fighters.
29th October, 2009
Aaron Hain will be fighting on the POS7 show on the 28th November. Aaron will be facing Gordon Smith from Caledonian Muay Thai for the Scottish title. Gordon is the current Scottish Champ, while Aaron is the Interim Champ. Aaron won that "title" early in the year against David Bowie when Gordon had to pull out the arranged title defence due to injury. This should be a cracking fight. Both fighters are very technical, and are determined to prove who is the number 1 at the weight. The title is at 67Kg. Also fighting is Savas Cecen. Savas (72Kg) is up against Scott Clark from the POS Fight Team. This is a ticket-commision only deal for the fighters so please get in touch with Aaron, Savas, James or anyone else at the Gym for tickets.

FFG have two fighters appearing on the Siam Warriors show in Cork, Ireland on the 17th October. Mike Pazowski (Vs. Darren Cashman) and Kevin Cottrell (Vs. Johnny Sheean) oppponent's are both from the Siam Warriors Gym. Should be two good fights, all the best to both fighters from everyone at the Gym. Unfortunately Aaron Hain (Vs. Chris O'Rourke) fight wont be going ahead due to Chris substaining a back injury. Aaron will still be travelling to Ireland, no doubt will aid James in the corner, or be slumpt in another corner full of Guiness LOL

This Saturday (5th) FFG will have the pleasure of hosting a training/techniques Seminar with Mr. Tony Myers. The session will be from 2pm to 4pm. This is an invaluable opportunity to learn authentic Muay Thai skills from one of the UK's most experienced Muay Thai trainers. Tony as most of you will know is also the UK's leading Muay Thai referee, and judge. Tony has spent a vast amount if time training and learning in Thailand over the years at places such as the famous Pinsinchai camp, with Master Pimu and the WPT Gym in Bangkok.
